When I Was 10 by Neil Taylor

Thinking back to when I was 10 years old seems a lot longer ago than it actually is. I turned 10 in 1996, a year which saw NeXT merge with Apple and Oasis played the biggest free-standing concert in UK history at Knebworth, Hertfordshire.

These two events may have subconsciously shaped my future as today I enjoy going to music festivals and live music concerts and I guess you could say I'm a bit of an Apple fan boy! My aspirations at the age of 10 weren't to become a web developer and designer but to become an airline pilot.

Simple But Powerful Web Development Tips

Having recently re-designed and re-developed the Studio Create web site, we wanted to write about some key development areas we address which have improved performance and usability on the site.

Content Caching
Probably the biggest improvement we’ve made to the web site is caching of content data. In any web site some data will be frequently used and some will be infrequently used. All of the content on our website is stored in a database, so to improve performance we load this data in advance at application start up.

Time For a New Look

It's been a few months in the pipeline with client work taking priority, but we're proud to be releasing our brand new web site to the world today!

We've completely re-written the code behind the site and added much more content. We now have most of the clients we work with on the site along with the web sites we've produced for them.
